Editing music video evaluation

Today we edited the shots for the music video we did by using iMovie. The music video had to be 30-60 seconds from using the clips we had filmed. I think editing in iMovie is quite simple and also i think the song matches the video quite well and i was able to add text where they said the name of the song which was Count on me. The song also relates to the shots we took because it is about loneliness and then 2 people becomes friends and they can always count with each other. Between 2 of the shot we took i added transitions which i thought would fit and it can create more effect and you don't know what will happen next.

I think that the music video was achieved because that it was our original idea which we came up with and it tells a story that everyone is able to understand and that it can actually relate to people when you start a new place such as secondary school and that you might be lonely and then you will find friends that you are able to count on and trust them. I thought that it was creative but a simple idea because that we were able to film different shots such as close up of the friends being happy and that there was an establishing shot to show where we were because we wanted to show that it was quiet and deserted which relates to the idea we thought of. I downloaded the song using a youtube converter to iTunes and then dragged it in and made it fit each shot that we had.I shortened the song because it was too long and also i edited the clips because it would of been too long and some parts we messed up in. I muted all of the clips because there was background sound and it would of been too loud and you weren't able to hear the song in the background. There was text that i added that said 'You can count on me' because that is the chorus and it would come into a suspense so they won't know what is happening next. Also there is credits at the end to show who did it and to make it presentable and nice so you are able to feel proud of it.
