Action plan: The deadline for filming for is Friday 19th December. The equipment we would need for filming are a camera, tripod, actors, computer to edit the shots in, a memory card which has a lot of memory in. All of our equipment is free because we will be using the colleges camera and tripod. The filming and editing is must be finished by 23rd January. The dates and times are going to film are on Thursday at 3:05pm in the media lesson and also Tuesday 16th December during our media lesson. Our backup plan is to find a simpler song which we could film in a certain amount of time which good shots. The shots would relate to the lyrics and also we wouldn't need many people in each shot and could film in just our group.
Personnel List: The roles and responsibilities for each person is that we will all be editing our own version of the shots for the video. We have experience of using iMovie to edit and add the audio to the video we will be making. The video should be at least 2 minutes long. All of us will be taking turns being on camera/actor and also filming different shots. The mains skills that we would need is be able to film and film different types of shots with the camera. Also you shouldn't drop the camera because that it might break and we don't want to loose all of your footage we have filmed. There wont be any issues with availability and cost of traveling because we will be filming at college and the actors are in the media class but on the other hand they might be filming their shots for their music video.
Location report: College in the atrium and outside. Also the balcony on the first floor and second aswell. The risk are that we could fall down the stairs while we are walking. The floor could be slippery and you could fall over.To prevent this from happening, you need to be careful of there is any slippery floor and be slow and don't do everything fast. You could die if there is any electrical issues and falling off the balcony. To prevent this have someone watching you at all times and don't try anything dangerous as you might die or get very injured. Also shouldn't where it is busy and it could get stepped on and it will be hard to film. Also don't film near vehicles to prevent this stay away from then and also film in a different location.

Music video proposal
Music video proposal: The Saturdays Higher
Basic information: The target audience for the music video is for teenagers and young adults. The summary of the video is someone laying down in their bed on their phone and then they turn off their phone and they have bored with nothing to do. After their mum tells them to go out and have some fun. She stands up and goes out to meet their friend which gets better(higher). They go to the arcade but they get bored so they decide to go shopping which makes them better again. At the end she comes back to her house and in her bed smiling. The events which will be in the music video are that she will start off in her bed and then walks out to see her friend then after they walk to the arcade to play some games. when they get bored of the arcade they decide to go shopping. At the end she ends up in her bed.
Technique information: The style of the music video which i am going to do is narrative and interpretative because it is easy relatable and also the lyrics does tell a story in them. It is effective and you understand what is going on. Some of the lyrics will be directly shown visually. For example 'Turn off my telephone' and the shot will be someone turning off their phone. The purpose of the music video is to promote the song and able to relate the lyrics in a visual form. Also it is to show the artist. There will be close up and establishing shots of the places they are in. Some techniques in the music video are cutting to a beat/insert an image. The pics will be lyrics of the song in the music video. Some camera shots which will be in the video are close up, two shots of the people, establishing shot of the mise en scene and also POV shot because it will get to see what they are looking at and are doing. The conventions of the music video are lyric interpretation, focus on performers and lighting for mood because it will create an effect on the audience.
Financial information: The things which i will need in the process of making the music video that will cost money are:

Initial responses to music video
One Republic-I Lived:
The genre of the music video is pop/rock and also the style song is soothing but also some mixed emotions because that it will make you think about the meaning and things which you have done over the years and your whole life. The length of the song is 3mins 54 secs which is medium and also it has a story line behind it. The meaning of the song is that you only live once and make the most of it and thing about the things you have done in the past and also how you were like in your childhood. Also any achievements you have completed as well. The narrative does tell a story because from the chorus and also the clips they have added in. The song makes you feel mixed emotions because it can make you feel sad and happy. They say the name of the song a lot which is 'I lived' and you imagine your childhood.
The Saturdays-Higher
The genre of the song is pop and the style of the song is happy and cheerful to dance to and have a good time. The length of the song is 3mins 35 seconds and the pace of the song is medium which you can enjoy too. The meaning of the song is that things can get better and people can make you happy and they are always with you. Sometimes you can feel down and bored. There is a narrative in the lyrics because at the beginning they are annoyed and fed up but then you get better with the people who you are with as they always listen to go and understand. My first impression of the song is that it was a good song and it is also catchy and it can also relate to anyone. The word higher could symbolise that things are getting better.
I'm doing nothing;
'Cause then at least I'm doing nothing wrong.
And I'm gon' staying on my own,
And turn off my telephone,
If nothing's gained then nothing's won.
Yeah, you can tell them,
Yeah, you can say whatever;
I don't care, yeah.
And if you wanna play it cool,
Then I got news for you,
It's getting hotter, hotter in here...
So, when I speak, listen
This is my decision,
And you keep on missing out the words (oh, oh, oh)
So when I speak, listen,
'Cause you keep on pushing,
Like I need permission to be heard (oh, oh, oh)
I'm gonna lift it, lift it higher!
I'm gonna lift it, lift it higher!
So when I speak, listen,
This is my decision,
And you keep on missing out the words.
It's getting closer,
I'm movin' in and yeah I think you know,
'Cause I am sick of playing games,
And I'm not gon' say no names,
But you and I know who to blame.
Yeah, you can tell 'em
Yeah, you can go ahead and put it straight,
'Cause I am finishing myself,
And I do not need your help,
I'm gonna do this, do it right.
So, when I speak, listen
This is my decision,
And you keep on missing out the words (oh, oh, oh)
So when I speak, listen,
'Cause you keep on pushing,
Like I need permission to be heard (oh, oh, oh)

This is my decision,
And you keep on missing out the words.
I'm gonna lift it, lift it...
When you go higher, I go higher!
I'm gonna lift it, lift it...
Yeah, you can try, but I go higher!
I'm gonna lift it, lift it...
The only thing, boy, all that you can do is listen, so listen!
So, when I speak, listen
This is my decision (yeah, yeah!)
And you keep on missing out the words (oh, oh, oh) (You keep on missing out my words!)
So when I speak, listen,
'Cause you keep on pushing,
Like I need permission to be heard (oh, oh, oh)

Radio charity advert evaluation
For this radio advert we had to choose a charity which would appeal to 16-19 years old and also others. We had to research about the charity which we were doing and then start writing a script which we would record. The charity which I chose to do is Children in need.
Creativity:
I chose a charity which already existed which was Children in need and i created my own script and in the script i added pudsey because that it is related to children in need and that it is the logo which symbolises the charity. Some persuasive techniques which i have used is repetition which can create an effect and make people remember it and they might donate and want to listen on.

Making an advert for radio city market.
1.What were the roles of the two people in the video?
In the video there was a voiceover for the advert and also that the voiceover had to think about the tone which they had to think about and what the audience is. The other role was the sound engineer which edit the advert and made it interesting.
2.What consideration does the voiceover artist have to make before recording?
The things which the voiceover is that you have to consider is the tone of voice which is needed for the advert and also think about which audience they are trying to aim it at.Also that if you are able hear the voiceover clearly.
3.What studio equipment was shown?
There was a microphone, mixing desk, headphones, computer, recording and editing software.
4.What processes were shown to complete the radio commercial?
The voiceover got their lines and then read through it so they are familiar with it when they are recording it and think about the tone as well. Then they record the lines for the advert so then after the sound engineer are able to edit it and add sound effects in it which is able to make the audience
5.How might a music library have played a part in the process?
Music library has played a part in the process because that it has helped select what sound effect and music that will fit in the background for the voice over and also the advert.

Describing 3 types of radio station
Internet/podcasts-You will need to be in a studio or even at home because you will need to have internet access and that it can be via iTunes or even youtube which anyone will be able to access and also that it you don't always have to listen to it. They are advertised differently. The target audience will be teenagers because they are always on the internet and that it is something new and fresh which they can be interested. The equipment might differ because you won't need a lot of things and that you are able to just be in a bedroom and also that you don't need to pay a lot of money. TogiNet is an example of an podcast which is just on the internet. Also Tunein is a podcast which teenagers would listen to because they are normally on the internet and also that they will show music and news.
College/non profit radio-The college will get a group of people together to be able to do a radio advert/station so they are able to know what they are on about. The location is to be at college in a class room which will be sound proof and also where they are able to film. The target audience is college students because they want to know facts and things which are going on in life and any information there is. The equipment might differ because that it won't be any people listening to it and also they college might already have the equipment which is needed such as a microphone and also a mixer to play music and also to interact with everyone.
Comercial radio-You will need to be in a studio which has sound proof walls so none of the background sounds will get into it because you will need it quiet. The frequency is different for each radio station. For example Capital 95.8 is a radio station which many people such as teenagers which is the target audience listen to it because that they play the latest songs which they like and also there is competitions which they are able to win and go to the concert. They always get celebs in to be interview so more people will tune in. The equipment setup will differ because they will need to be in a studio with microphones a mixer and a laptop which they are able to go on and get the music. Also they will need a place for the transmitter because they need to air it so that everyone is able to hear it. They are mostly aired all over the UK.

Artist promoting songs
Artist promotes songs using social media such as twitter and Facebook because they are a popular site to go on and that fans and other people will see that there is a new song which will make people go and listen to it and also buy the song and help promote it. When there is a new song coming out sometimes their fans will help them promote it and get something trending on the site and normally they get them to go and buy it on iTunes because that where normally the song is and they want it to get to number 1. For example a trend which you can have a twitter is #BuyBangBangOniTunes and they to get it to the top trend. Also the song could be trending because many people were tweeting the song and also the artist on their twitter. On Facebook they might of posted a picture of their new song and it could get the most likes. These 2 examples are a good way for an artist to promote a song because lots of people are always on it and also millions of people have signed up to twitter and Facebook. When the artist tweet or post about it,it will instantly get fans to listen and they will love the song and pre order it. Other range of media which they use to promote

Evaluation for voiceover ad
We did a voiceover of an existing product and then we had to film a script and then film it on a laptop. We edited the audio on reaper. This was my first time editing audio and I thought that it was quite hard as I wasn't really sure what I was doing. I got sound effects to add into the advert I was creating with the footage we had taken from the previous day. I got sound effects from freesound and then I downloaded it. One of the sound effects was a kissing sound for the end of the advert and the other was general background music which was cool and that matched the product we was doing. The advert I did got lost as that I wasn't sure where I putted it and that I used a different laptop on the day so I had to start and make a new quick advert. I got the same sound effects as before and also I cut some of parts out because we made mistake and that there was some pauses. I don't think there was many technical qualities in my advert because I wasn't really sure how to do it and I was still trying how to do things but I think that the advert went ok even though I didn't really add anything into the advert. Some of the persuasive techniques we added in the voiceover ad were repetition, facts and made it humorous because it would attract the audience to buy hersheys kisses and also make them hungry. Also we tried to making it like 2 people are talking to eachother so it is like a real conversation to make it humorous. At the timing 0:39 there is a kissing sound from freesound that i download and also from 0:01,throughout there is a song in the background. It fitted our voices because we didnt really add any enthusiasm because that we don't like acting and hearing our selves back but there was a creative side to it. We had to create as soundcloud account because we had to put our voiceover which we edited onto there because you aren't able put it straight to blogger. After i uploaded it i copied and pasted the embed code to blogger.

Editing music video evaluation
I think that the music video was achieved because that it was our original idea which we came up with and it tells a story that everyone is able to understand and that it can actually relate to people when you start a new place such as secondary school and that you might be lonely and then you will find friends that you are able to count on and trust them. I thought that it was creative but a simple idea because that we were able to film different shots such as close up of the friends being happy and that there was an establishing shot to show where we were because we wanted to show that it was quiet and deserted which relates to the idea we thought of. I downloaded the song using a youtube converter to iTunes and then dragged it in and made it fit each shot that we had.I shortened the song because it was too long and also i edited the clips because it would of been too long and some parts we messed up in. I muted all of the clips because there was background sound and it would of been too loud and you weren't able to hear the song in the background. There was text that i added that said 'You can count on me' because that is the chorus and it would come into a suspense so they won't know what is happening next. Also there is credits at the end to show who did it and to make it presentable and nice so you are able to feel proud of it.

Chosen song for music shots.
The song we have chosen for the music video is Count on me by Bruno Mars because the message of the video is that you will always have someone beside you and that they will make you happy and have a fun time to spend with them as that the respect and that you will count on them. The genre of the song is pop music and the mood it starts a bit sad as you aren't with anyone but then it gets more happy and cheerful. The lyrics match with the shots we have taken because at the beginning the person is sad and lonely but then throughout the video another person comes in and cheers the person up to make the person happy so they know they are secure. The song has a simple pace that it is easy to manage and fit it in the video while editing. The scenario was loneliness.

Jason Donavan is also a host and he does all 80's singles on a Sunday night. The demographic is adults and people who are over 50 or 60 because they mainly would listen to this radio station compared to capital where it is more for teenagers and their pop music and it can attract different age ranges. Voiceover Workshop
We did a voiceover workshop where we had to do an radio advert of an existing product and make people want to buy it. We had to get into small groups and then choose a product which we wanted to do. After we had to research and find facts about the company/the product that we have chosen and then started writing the scripts and also using as many persuasive techniques. When we finished out script we then went to record our advert which was about hersheys chocolate.
Some of the technical qualities which we added was that we used repetition which can create an effect and make the audience remember it more as you have said it more than once.I think that it was quite creative as that we chose that something that everyone likes as it is popular and hersheys are really nice and our performance went alright as we didn't have much time to practice our lines due to the time we spent on thinking of an idea and writing the script.I made a little mistake but i was able to cover it up by changing a few of words which i was saying. In the script we added some information about how it all started and it sounded like that we were having a normal convocation to each other which made it realistic and appealing to everyone and make them want to listen and buy the product. We didn't add any tag lines in as we didn't get any time to think of any but i thought our actual advert was pretty good.

Radio advert analyse
The Tescos radio advert is trying to promote what they have on offer and they are trying to get people to buy it in a 30 second advert. They try to put all the information they are able to put in the amount of time. The narrator lists some of the food they have in the shop and then there is a voice over trying to get the adults to come and shop for the food here when they need to. The narrator is clear and everyone is able to understand. Also the voice over thinks that the price drop is a good idea as the narrator is still listing the food. In the advert they mention their slogan "Every little helps"which is a use of a voiceover. Another use of voiceover is that there is different accent and tones but it can make it hard to understand what they are trying to say but it makes it more interesting to see what they have to say about the company. When he says all of the different products really fast and then runs out breath can be a bit humorous but it shows that the service have a lot of things on offer for the customers. The target audience is for adults because they are trying to find deals on food products. It can be a unique selling point to the customers and there is a benefit swell. This will be able to increase market sales of all the products that are on sale.
Tescos advert is on any local radio and its also on heart and capital radio. I think that it is quite effective but they listed too many food products and they could of got confused. The style of advert is factual as there is a lot of basic facts which you are able to remember easily and it also a bit serious so there is a lack of humour because it more based on parents and they prefer to have more facts so it can persuade them more to come to the shop and buy the products they have. Furthermore the purpose of advertising a company/service is to raise awareness about it and it will show that it makes the company and brand better than others. Sometimes they compare brands to show which is better and cheaper. Also the other band/service might be nearer to your house so you might prefer to go to that one as it might be cheaper than the one you already go to and it might have a sale there like it says in the advert it to persuades them to come and see what they have. By doing this it makes the company make a higher profit.

Coke radio advert is trying to say that it is the best summer drink and it also a popular drink as it is cheap and it taste nice. They have sound effects which would be best for the summer and lots of people have fun. The sound effects was non diegetic sound because it is sound which is put in. This advert would be on capital and heart as they are the most listened radio channels. The length of advert is 30 seconds. They made it catchy and humorous with the amount of time they have had. There is voice over and narrator for this advert so they can make a statement why people should buy the summertime over. The target audience is everyone because all different age ranges drink coke as it is a refreshing drink to have and it isn't expensive and they sell them everywhere. In supermarkets they sell them in bulk. It was effective because it entertaining to listen and to see what they had to say about it and was humorous by the sounds which they made and the coke sound they made. The style of the video is simple and humorous so everyone is able to understand and the purpose of coke advert is to promote the brand awareness and it will make the audience this brand not an establishing brand which is popular. It is trying to persuade such as asking questions to make the target audience think but doesn't have an exact answer. There was a use of music bed such as sound effects and background music to promote it and with the background music the audience might remember which advert it was just by the sounds they have listened to. Also the slogan is catchy so it easy to remember and sometimes they put where you are able to buy it such as Tescos which mean that you are giving them good feedback and also a free advert/promotion. There is also some seasonal awareness because they talk about the summer and that coke is one of the best drinks to have as it is cool and refreshing to have on a hot day. For the voiceover the celebrity it make its more animation because its children and teens like to make things fun and not formal because it wouldn't keep them interested. It will be able to increase market sales on the product and the company.
